Cuisine, Cinéma & Confidences
April 25-28, 2024
"Cuisine, Cinéma & Confidences" is a unique event that celebrates the intersection of cinema and culinary arts. Over three days, attendees are treated to a delightful fusion of film screenings, gourmet tastings, and engaging discussions with acclaimed filmmakers, producers, and chefs. From interactive cooking workshops to themed meals inspired by featured films, the event offers something for everyone, emphasizing that the pleasure of eating knows no bounds. Originally scheduled for November, this gastronomic and cinematic rendezvous in Baie-Saint-Paul has been postponed by six months. The upcoming edition, themed "The Other Saint-Laurent," will now take place from April 25th to 28th, merging with the Sustainable Meetings of Charlevoix to explore the intertwined themes of food, environment, and culture.
In collaboration with Charlevoix's microbrewery, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, the event promises a range of activities, including a gala dinner showcasing the bounty of the Saint-Laurent region paired with locally crafted beers. Renowned chef Émile Tremblay from the restaurant Faux Bergers will oversee the gastronomic aspect of the festival, ensuring an unforgettable culinary experience. With the festival's decision to merge with Earth Day celebrations and the Sustainable Meetings of Charlevoix, attendees can expect a holistic exploration of the relationship between food, sustainability, and cinema, reinforcing the notion that film serves as a powerful catalyst for discussions on these pressing issues.
